Doorstep is built to help candidates share their interview experiences safely. Here's how we handle your information — in plain language, not legal filler.
What we collect
- Reviews you submit: company name, role, interview process details, ratings, and your written story.
- Optional proof you choose to upload (e.g. a calendar invite or confirmation email) to earn a Verified badge — this is stored privately and is never shown publicly.
- Basic usage data (like credit balance) tied to your browser session, not your identity.
What we don't collect
- We don't require an account, name, or email to submit a review.
- We don't ask for your resume, salary history, or any information beyond what you choose to share in your review.
- We never share optional verification proof with the company you're reviewing, or with anyone else.
How your review is shown
Reviews are public and anonymous by default — we don't attach your name or contact details to anything you post.
If you choose to add optional proof, only your Verified badge is shown publicly. The proof itself stays private and is used only to confirm your review to our team.
Your control
- You can request that a review you submitted be removed by contacting us — see below.
- We do not sell your information to companies, recruiters, or advertisers, ever.
